Acrylic filters These Acrylic Filters are robust and inexpensive. Long-pass filters are available in large sheets. The UV blocking type is often used for protection from photochemical damage. The IR black filters are used to cover IR transmitters or receivers to hide them from view and block unwanted ambient light.
