Plastic Retarders

Plastic retarders, 0.8mm thick, are an inexpensive alternative to mica or quartz and are available in large sizes. The range includes full-wave (1wave) plates used as sensitive-tint plates in polariscopes to display small strains in a specimen as differences of colour.
