White float windows
Float
glass windows are a cheap source as a protective element
between two environments. They are cut from sheet glass
that is relatively flat and parallel for most purposes.
As no polishing is required they are cost effective.
Float glass is now listed down to 1.1mm thick (thinner
to order) and the 'white' grade used for the thicker
windows has much less green coloration than common soda
float glass. Polished grade (λ/2)
White Float Window is also listed for more precision
applications.
AR-coated windows are also listed for improved efficiency;
the single-sided type can be used for laminating. Also
listed are Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coated windows which
is used for displays, electric heating, EMI shielding
etc.
